My Story: From Self-Criticism To Taking Ownership of My Life and Changing My Story

“One must still have chaos in one to give birth to a dancing star.” — Nietzsche

Merely ten years ago, I was in my first year of university, and I was a complete mess.

On the outside, I appeared put together and confident in myself, but on the inside, I was tormented by the fear of not being enough. I was numbing my doubts in different compulsive behaviors that were detrimental to my physical and mental health.

My mind was foggy. I was chronically disorganized and always late for my appointments.

Because I had no concept of self-care, my diet at the time was utterly inadequate (consisting of chocolate, pretzels, no vegetables, and energy drinks), and my body was enduring chronic fatigue and 4-5 hours of sleep.

Yes, the energetic and positive person you see today didn’t exist. Or at least she was hiding behind a facade of perfectionism and unrealized self-sabotage triggered by unhealed childhood trauma…

Despite growing up as a dancer and a soloist with an innate love for being on stage and performing, in my early twenties, I became so self-conscious about my body that I avoided seeing myself in photos or videos.

As I always say in my posts — unless you stop sabotaging yourself, you will likely spend the rest of your life in self-pity, wishing things were different.

And things could be different for you if you stop playing the victim card and start taking full ownership of your POWER.

So when I was 22, I decided to embark on a journey of reinventing my habits and mindset and, on a sheet of paper, I pledged to myself:

“I, Ana-Maria Georgieva, commit to creating a purposeful and fulfilling life measured by my chosen standards!”

There was no way I would be the person I am today if I didn’t change my patterns so I could release my limiting beliefs and deconstructive habits.

I am my own success story.

What started as my pilgrimage to reinventing myself and rebuilding my confidence gave me the opportunity to share what I’ve learned with dozens of people of different ages and professional backgrounds.

In the process of creating my signature method, I conducted and presented scholarly research on the relationship between our self-image and our body language that I presented at the Undergraduate Symposium at the University of Washington in 2018, which became the foundation of my Confidence-Builder Method TM.

And this is how Luna Voda Coaching was born — from my own healing.

Once I transformed my wounds into warrior scars, I could rise above my fears and use them as a threshold towards fulfilling my Life Purpose — helping other people to create their success and build their dream lives!

Your past doesn’t define you!

You define yourself:)

Your definition defines your future.
