5 Unexpected Addictions You Might Not Know You Have

Here a few:

  • Codependency: This refers to an unhealthy relationship dynamic where one person excessively relies on another for their emotional well-being, often to the detriment of their own independence and self-esteem.
  • Overworking: While seemingly productive, excessive work hours can lead to burnout, neglecting personal life, and ultimately diminishing overall well-being.
  • Drama: Constant conflict, gossip, and emotional outbursts can create a toxic environment, draining energy and hindering productivity.
  • Perfectionism: The relentless pursuit of flawlessness can lead to anxiety, procrastination, and an inability to enjoy accomplishments due to a constant focus on perceived shortcomings.
  • People-Pleasing: The excessive need to gain approval from others can lead to neglecting one’s own needs and boundaries, resulting in resentment and burnout.

I’ve worked with clients who have overcome alcohol and gambling addictions, completely reinventing themselves. ⁣ ⁣

While there’s growing awareness around these challenges, the silent addictions often go unnoticed—like the subconscious addiction to being needed. This often manifests as codependency, where especially for empaths, self-worth becomes entangled with being recognized or valued by others. ⁣ ⁣

Remember: poor boundaries often lead to poor income.

Many of my clients, despite being overachievers, used to 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲-𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀. ⁣ ⁣

Being a high performer doesn’t mean you’re immune to the addiction of needing to be the “good girl” or the “good boy.”⁣ ⁣

As Carl Jung said, “𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴, 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘦.” True empowerment comes when you embrace both your shadow and your light, owning your story with authenticity and personal power.⁣ ⁣

This is exactly what we focus on inside my private community—a space where 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘴, 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘴, and 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 step into deeper alignment, TRANSFORM 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀, and activate their fullest potential.⁣ ⁣ I can’t wait to learn more about you and create global change together.⁣ ⁣ 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🚀🤍
